Canopy Partners, a North Carolina-based healthcare technology company, just released an innovative software solution called Canopy CARE, an end-to-end automated referral management platform for radiology and imaging providers.
Canopy CARE – Clinical Automated Referral Engine - streamlines the imaging patient experience while reducing claims denials and accelerating cash collections. With Canopy CARE, administrative burdens are reduced because it automates much of the manual workflow associated with eligibility checking, payment estimation, and even prior-authorization.
“In 2016, the CAQH Index, a respected industry source, estimated that the healthcare industry could save $9.4 billion annually with electronic claims transactions. As a partner concerned with effective and efficient business practices for imaging providers, we took notice and found a solution,” noted Worth Saunders, Canopy Partners CEO.
How does Canopy CARE work?
The Canopy CARE platform is built on technology already in use at more than 500 hospitals across the country. Canopy Partners added features and tailored the software specifically for the outpatient imaging world, including a real-time dashboard to monitor the status of every patient encounter and claim.
“The physicians in our community, as well as our office staff, were getting bogged down in the sending and receiving of paperwork. The process for referring patients to us had frankly become too burdensome and lengthy a process. Something had to give.
