At a growing company like Canopy Partners, the pace can be intense as important projects stack up, one after another.
Yet despite the stress, deadlines and demanding conditions employees sometimes find themselves working under, they ranked Canopy Partners as one of the Triad’s top workplaces, edging out 14 others in the small company category.
The reasons employees cited were many: a caring leadership team; flexible schedules; family friendly benefits; broad autonomy to do their jobs; and open lines of communication among teams, as well as among employees and leadership. Also, lots of opportunities to have fun during the workday.
“They take care of their employees,” employee Reggie Martin said succinctly.
In name, Canopy Partners is a relativity new company. The health care company provides information technology, billing, human resources and practice management services to hospitals and physicians offices. It spun off from Greensboro Radiology in January 2011.
The company’s mission is to enhance health care, said Worth Saunders, the chief executive officer, whether it’s by making it easier for physicians to access and share patient records or by efficiently handling patient billing .
Employees know each of them plays a critical role in that mission. In fact, leadership regularly seeks their advice on how the company can move closer to its mission and vision.
